India with its teeming multitudes is a land of variation. At one end of the spectrum, it is poised to lead the world in boasts of the largest metropolitan urban centers and the richest individuals. On the other end of this spectrum was 70% of its rural population, with probably the lowest literacy and income levels in the world few decades ago. It was this weakest link in the world’s largest democracy that Mahatma Gandhi wanted the benefits of development to reach. He understood that the nation could become strong only by strengthening its weakest link.

VSPM Academy of Higher Education (VSPM AHE), Nagpur has made this objective its mission. Since its very inception in 1971, it has untiringly toiled amongst the most backward regions and the least privileged to provide them the opportunity to become self-reliant. Its focus has been extremely clear. It has emphasized on education, social upliftment and the removal of social evils. The result of the last three decades of efforts has been the setting-up of over 50+ quality education institutions right from pre-primary schools to medical college, superspeciality hospital, setting-up of social institutions for the backward, women and innumerable programs for removal of social evils.

 

It runs and manages institutions imparting education across various domains such as: –

This includes Preprimary schools, Primary schools, Middle and High schools, Arts, Commerce and Science Colleges, Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy and Nursing Colleges along with charitable. Specialty and super specialty hospital Management, Technical, Teacher Training Institutions and well equipped multispecialty tertiary care level Hospitals. The Trust is imparting education to over 20,000 students every year. Its wide network is providing employment to over 2,000 employees. The Trust is also generating employment for thousands of people indirectly. All these employees constitute the VSPM AHE family.

Registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860 No. MH. 732/71 and also under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, No. F 1349 (Nagpur)  this trust is an umbrella body governing all the constitutions under it. The body constitutes of 11 elected representatives for a tenure of 5 years from the members of the society.
